Alton Cars has demonstrated strong environmental leadership, achieving carbon neutrality in accordance with PAS2060 since 2021. The company has consistently reported year-on-year emissions reductions and complies with mandatory schemes such as ESOS and SECR.
Preparation Efforts Undertaken
For the ARIES trial, Alton Cars submitted a letter of commitment and detailed data across all three emissions scopes. Their robust data management and previous experience in environmental reporting enabled a seamless onboarding at ARIES Level 5. They highlighted key investments in emission-reducing technologies such as compressors, heating systems, and dust extraction units.
Challenges and Benefits of ARIES
Due to their mature environmental practices, Alton Cars faced minimal challenges with data provision. ARIES allowed them to consolidate and showcase their investments in emissions reduction more effectively and provided a clear route to progress their Net Zero ambitions via the SBTi framework.
