Environmental Engagement
Accident Express began its emissions reduction journey in 2022, aligning with PAS 2060. Since then, the business has made consistent progress in managing and reducing its carbon footprint across all operational areas.
Preparation Efforts Undertaken
The team submitted a comprehensive emissions dataset covering scopes 1 and 2, as well as available scope 3 data. Their preparedness and long-term ambition enabled entry into the ARIES programme at Level 4, with formal reduction targets set through to 2030.
Challenges and Benefits of ARIES
Although collecting scope 3 data proved complex, joining ARIES helped demystify the reporting process and provided a clear structure for future planning. The framework reinforced their environmental commitment and gave them a platform for ongoing improvement.
Recommendations to Others
Accident Express encourages other repairers to adopt the ARIES framework as a practical, structured route to Net Zero. Early engagement and a commitment to continuous learning are key to making meaningful progress.
"ARIES has given us more than just a target—it's given us a structure. It's helped us move from well-meaning intentions to measurable actions, and we hope our experience encourages others to take the first step."
